unocounsel is made up of legal, financial, accounting, and tax professionals who have operated on both sides of the transactions they now advise on. What unites us is the standard we work by and our commitment to the projects and people we choose to serve.

I am a transactional corporate lawyer and co-founder of unocounsel, a firm I built alongside my partners and friends. For over a decade, I have supported founders, investors, and companies—primarily in technology and social impact, but also in traditional sectors—in decisions that shape not only transactions, but the way projects, relationships, and responsibilities are built.
I believe that law can be a tool for clarity and care. It can help structure, protect, translate risk, and build agreements that allow people to move forward with greater awareness. But for that to happen, legal practice cannot remain limited to technical rigor; it requires practical judgment, real business understanding, and an honest view of what each client is trying to build and protect.
At unocounsel, we work from that conviction. We help our clients define their interests, protect them, and make informed decisions—without replacing their vision or imposing a path that is not their own. We support them from structuring, through negotiation, and also in moments of difficulty, with the belief that our role is to be present, safeguard what matters, and help.
We are also building a team of professionals we deeply admire: people with sound judgment, a service-oriented mindset, and aspirations aligned with our own. Because the quality of the support we provide to our clients begins with the quality of the people we choose to build with.

I have experience on both the buy side and the sell side. I have supported financial institutions, fintechs, and startups from the C-level in M&A processes and capital and debt raises, working from both sides of the transaction. This path has given me a broad perspective on what separates companies that successfully raise capital from those that do not—what allows them to sustain themselves before and after each round, and what prepares them to scale and raise again.
What drives me is helping my clients win. In this ecosystem, that means showing up prepared: with a model that withstands tough questions, a clean and up-to-date cap table, a financial structure that protects, and a narrative that convinces. Companies that enter capital conversations this way not only raise faster, but also negotiate better, scale with greater clarity, and approach their next round from a stronger position.
At unocounsel, I build financial and business models, help structure deals, organize cap tables, and provide support throughout the entire capital raising, debt, and growth process. For teams that need ongoing financial direction, I also act as a fractional CFO. I work closely with the legal, tax, and accounting teams, because the best financial decisions rarely live in just one part of the equation.
unocounsel is where finance, law, and accounting finally operate as one team—which, for those of us who have worked on both sides of a transaction, makes all the difference. This project, and the people I am building it with, represent how I believe this work should be done: with rigor, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to the projects and the people behind them.

I spent more than seventeen years at EY—in Mexico City and as part of the Latin American Business Center in Miami—advising multinational companies on tax compliance and tax accounting across Latin America. I worked with teams across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating between corporate headquarters and regional subsidiaries under IFRS and US GAAP frameworks.
I specialize in corporate tax compliance related to income tax and VAT, deferred taxes, and effective tax rate reconciliations. What matters most to me is ensuring that those numbers are communicated clearly—to leadership teams, investors, and the people making decisions based on them.
I co-founded unocounsel because that standard—the one expected from a global account—is exactly the standard founders and companies building something meaningful deserve. But beyond the technical side, what truly drives me is the people behind each project: understanding what they are building, what concerns them, and how I can help them operate with greater certainty. Here, there are no isolated advisors—there is a team that thinks together from the very beginning.

I am a corporate lawyer whose career has spanned three different worlds: international banking, law firms, and in-house roles at technology companies. I am also the founder of a consumer business, which gives me perspective from the other side of the table—the one who must decide, prioritize, negotiate, and build with limited resources.
I specialize in corporate governance and in the negotiation and execution of contracts. I am particularly interested in the point where legal analysis stops being a document and becomes a decision: what to do, what to accept, what to protect, what to negotiate, and what to let go. That is where the law needs to be clear, useful, and actionable.
I also teach law at the high school and university levels. Teaching has pushed me to develop a skill I use every day with clients: translating complexity into something that can be understood, remembered, and acted upon. For founders and leadership teams, that is not a minor detail.
At unocounsel, I contribute from that perspective: with practical judgment, with insight shaped by having worked in-house and built from the ground up, and with the conviction that the law works best when it truly serves those who need it.

My practice has focused on transactional corporate law within Mexico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. I have years of experience working with founders who are building, investors deploying capital, and companies undergoing growth or change.
I find that the best starting point is to understand the logic of the business before proposing any legal solution. Law works best when we, as lawyers, understand what is at stake for our clients—not only from a legal standpoint, but also from a strategic one. This allows us to anticipate risks before they become problems, structure with sound judgment, and support execution without creating unnecessary friction at moments when timing is critical and decisions have real consequences.
I am inspired by the ecosystem I work in. I believe entrepreneurship can be a real driver of change in the environments where each project operates, and I enjoy working with those who are building with that intention.
Behind every transaction, there is something someone chose to build—and that is what keeps me deeply engaged: the conviction that legal advisory, when done with judgment and care, can be part of something larger.

I have built my career at the intersection of startups and global corporations. For over seven years, I have led 17 transactions end-to-end, from Seed to Series C, across primary and secondary deals, SPVs, and SAFEs. I have participated as a Limited Partner in 10 global VC funds, giving me direct insight into how top investors evaluate companies and make decisions.
I have developed and executed investment theses, due diligence processes, and investment memoranda for executive committees. I have served as a board observer and collaborated with legal, procurement, and technology teams to remove operational friction in the implementation of technology within corporations. This combined experience, together with my own perspective, is what I aim to bring to every conversation.
My way of working is grounded in analytical rigor, disciplined processes, and clear communication. I focus on understanding each business through its fundamentals and financial metrics to precisely identify the value drivers that maximize growth. I strive for simplicity, innovation, and creativity without sacrificing depth or excellence.I believe the fundamental difference between founders who successfully raise capital and those who do not lies in their level of preparation and confidence in executing the process. That is the core value I aim to bring at unocounsel.
At unocounsel, my role is to support passionate founders in building what they need before going out to raise capital—from a clear value proposition to a strong financial narrative and a real understanding of how the other side of the table thinks. My goal is for every founder I work with to gain clarity, tools, and a concrete path to raising capital that meets the standards of global institutional investors.

My career has spanned two worlds that rarely intersect: commercial aviation and operational management. As a pilot, I learned to make fast, precise decisions based on real information, always under strict standards of safety and compliance. In parallel, I managed projects at a national level, coordinating teams and resources in high-demand environments.
This combination gave me a distinct approach: turning complex information into clear decisions—what to do, how to prioritize, and which risks to take—with the same discipline required to operate an aircraft and the flexibility demanded by real-world project management.
As an instructor, I also developed the ability to translate technical concepts into something understandable and actionable.
At unocounsel, I serve as Admin Lead—responsible for administration and internal operations, as well as supporting client projects with the same standard I have always worked with: clarity, execution, and attention to detail.

In my training as a finance professional, I have learned how companies are built from their earliest stages and how financial decisions shape their structure, growth, and ability to execute. I am motivated by being part of processes where founders, investors, and funds make key decisions around investment, growth, and capital raising.
I understand finance as a tool for order and clarity in decision-making. Beyond numerical analysis, it involves translating complex information into practical criteria that allow for a structured evaluation of risks and opportunities, combined with execution focused on results.
Attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to integrate different perspectives with sound judgment are core to how I work. I am in a stage of building—and that means every project I support is also an opportunity to continue developing and to contribute real value in moments that matter.

From my legal training, I understand law as a combination of clarity, execution, and technical expertise. Beyond regulatory analysis, it involves navigating both standard and complex scenarios through practical solutions aligned with the company’s objectives and the legal certainty required to operate effectively.
I am motivated by close collaboration and ongoing support with founders, investors, and teams, understanding law also as a strategic guide for building trust. I believe that a service-oriented mindset is an essential part of the legal profession, as it enables the creation of useful, clear solutions focused on the real needs of decision-makers.
Attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to integrate different perspectives are essential pillars of how I work and how I develop practical plans and solutions. I am in a stage of continuous professional growth, where every project represents an opportunity to create value while continuing to develop both personally and professionally.
